Keep Cheryl Happy

After a spate of explosive shopping sprees, the Bank of Cheryl is seriously undergoing a major review in her budget for the fiscal year.

Love my patent Timberland loafers in their
understated black leather and white rubber soles!
Got this baby at IMM Timberland Outlet store..!

This pair of nautical themed ballet pumps is from Summit,
a Malaysian brand rivalling our very own Charles & Keith.
This pair goes for a song at RM39.
Eat your heart out.

My new bling stilettos with ribbon ties and rows of bling!
I wear this around the house when I feel crazy.
Straps can be tied in different ways for different looks.
How cool is that?!
You know you love it!!

Though elated with my multiple acquisitions through the past few months, smiles fade when trodden with the harsh reality of a declining surplus.

Demands for payment have been coming in droves as the lure of beautiful shoes continue to sing their siren lullaby. Also noted is the heap of cash siphoned out for the upcoming trip due April. I'm so excited..!!

Even with the United Bank of Ross stepping in to buffer the weight of declining assets, I'm on my hands and knees praying for a meteor shower of cash!

Bye Bye Bye

I feel a void whenever Sharon Lee leaves for the US. Before she left, she gave me a Coach keychain. The patent leather comes embossed with the C monogram, topped off with a pink heart charm.

It’s super sweet because I can slot in pictures of the people I love inside! Awwwwww...

One side will harbor my family, while the other side will have her face! Perfect.

I think it’s a very meaningful present cause I can carry it around with me constantly. A reminder of the people I love, safely tucked into my pocket :D Currently attached to my keys, this keychain will (I hope soon) be fastened with the keys to my new home.

Watching the movie reminds me of what Sharon Lee and I share. Like the protoganists within, we used to communicate via snail mail. We then progressed onto emails alonside the surge of technology and supplemented our updates with frequent and lengthy phone calls. So nostalgic!

Sharon Lee also surprised Rick with this super BENG Ed Hardy tattoo-esque Tee with a tiger emblazoned on the side and the logo splashed across the chest. OMG. Looking at the garish colors and loud print gives me headaches. Patrick gasped when he saw the Tee. My eyes widened and I hoped he would not say anything negative about the design.

To my amazement, he dropped his jaw and mouthed, “The tee is soooooo attractive.”

Faints.

Those two must be related because Sharon Lee picked the color she liked best in the store which happened to be Patrick’s fave color.

Serious.

I’m still reeling with shock.

New Old Times

The lunar New Year demarcates the time for families to come together. My family had a rolling good time with the quintessential steamboat dinner, loaded with hot gossip. We also managed to scoot off to Batam for some R&R in Jan. The pig-shit cheap deal from deals.com.sg included ferry tickets, board, meals and even a city tour.

Basket worth it!!

We tucked into a seafood lunch and visited some shopping centers where Emms went wild. I raided Baskin Robbins and A&W..! woohoo..!

Gimme those curly fries!

I even managed to snag a few bargains myself (grins). But I guess its being close to family that matters the most.

Hearts.

Likewise, my best friend heeded the call of her Asian parentage and hurried home for the celebrations. It’s always a blessing to see her back home. Though fleeting, we celebrated our 18th year of friendship this time round. That’s more then half our lives! And how cliché it is to exclaim how fast time flies! But it’s so true!

We ploughed Singapore for great makan places and ate our way through most days, catching up on gossip and I soaked up how great it was to have her back. Nothing escapes her because I’m such an open book with her.

No secrets because there are no expectations.

This year, I also sold off my Schroeder Singapore Trusts which saw me incurring a 40% dip during the financial crisis. Thankfully, with the Government’s continuous aid, my stocks did recover and I managed to get back the principle sum invested together with a nominal interest. Ross urged me to invest in Gold but I remain the ‘once-bitten-twice-shy’ skeptic investor. Haahaaha.. I will not elaborate on the lengths this man has gone to source out his Canadian Maples, PAMPs or Credit Suisse.

But I assure you, I want to be a Taxi driver too.

I'll leave you with a super rocking mashup by uber talented DJ Masa...!! Love this track!!
