San Fran Day 2 - part 1 (Chinatown & Lombard St)

The second day in San Fran saw us going to have - get this... : Dim Sum over in Chinatown. Yes, we travelled half way round the world just so we could eat Asian.

Rolls eyes.

I have a vintage pendant that looks like this... hahaha..!!

The restaurant's deco looks stuck in the 60's! Bring on Austin Powers!! But thankfully the food wasn't too bad. We sat with a Malaysian couple. The lady was so petite and cuuuuute with her specks and bangs, while the male was a skinhead (highly suspected to be bald) with the BEST skin EVER.

I swear.

He has no pores whatsoever.

Life's a bitch, no?!

Anyway, here's food pics to get em' saliva flowing.

Ah Ching's plate filled with goodies!

Deliriously bored (and famished) just-crawled-out-from-bed-face

Next, the guide brought us to walk along the streets of San Fran on this lazy sunday morning. The architecture in San Fran is brilliant. I just love how the buildings all seem to exude an individual sense of personality and style.

Love the way how many houses have bay windows that you can emo in when it rains!

Us at the bottom of Lombard Street - the most crooked street in the world

The houses are gorgeous!

This cat motif is to DIE for..!

There's a tram stop when you get to the top. And with all iconic destinations, there are sure to be eager beaver tourists. Like us..!! We waved to them as they called out and waved at us. It was seriously dramatic. But oh so fun!!

Then something possessed us and we started this epic drama of taking jump shots everywhere we went!

On the way down, I don't know why but we all started screaming with excitement when we saw a fire engine come down the street. Then we ran down the street to snap pics, not realising the firemen were walking beside their ride inspecting the fire hydrants.

They walked up towards us and we thought we had commited a felony by taking pictures of government personnel. By this time, our guide had spotted us and sort of ran towards us cause he was afraid we were in some kind of trouble.

However, the firemen were LOVELY. They chatted up with us and asked if we were students on spring break (we got this alot. like seriously). He even volunteered to be our model!

Looks like Hulk Hogan right?!

I wish I lived here!!

Our guide told us that San Fran has a famous island named "Orchestra Island". It had me scratching my head bald in puzzlement as I had read up on the major tourists sites before the tour. And given my obsessive compulsive personality, how could I have missed this spot out?

We later came to learn that he was actaully referring to Alcatraz Island. WTF. Though really nice, we came to a conclusion that our guide is guilty of neologisms! Haha..!

Alcatraz in the horizon

Stay tuned for Part 2..!
