Alcatraz!
Blooms that signalled the start of Spring =)
Next, we headed to The Great Mall for the start of some serious shopping! Our local sales pale in comparision to the price dips over in the US. With prices starting from as low as USD5.99 for basic Tees, we bled money!
Our guide told us to save our dough for Tanger Outlets if we wanted to buy Coach as The Great Mall is slightly more expensive, but prices are largely similar for Polo, Gap, Old Navy, Levis etc. Rushing for time, we decided we'd rather roam what we could of the mall and pack our dinner, so we only grabbed dinner during the final seconds before leaving.
The mall is HUGE...!!
So we practically ran to cover as much surface area as our short limbs could carry us. I scored some Levis jeans (approx USD60 for 2 pairs) for Patrick and Gap tops (USD39 for a sweater, USD24 for shirts) for Ross and many stuff for myself!! Heehee..
Coincidentally, we found another Asian establishment in the mall - Jolly Bee!
Yummy...!
We ordered a family set that included fried chicken, fries, drinks, spagetti and pineapple pies (approx USD40) for the 4 of us which Sumi graciously sponsored. And they gave us loads of gravy for the chicken that better then KFC. The highlight of the meal was the spagetti!! Super nice! A definate must try for all noodle/pasta lovers! For the drinks, we tried Dr Pepper, but didnt really see what the fuss was about.
And here is what our hotel for the night looked like...
Love the huge beds!
This time, the coffee maker is strangely in the washroom!
our view...!
With the twinkling lights in the distant horizon, we cleaned up and slithered into bed, eager to see what the new day would bring...
